Prince Gabriele Maria Giuseppe Carlo Ignazio Antonio Alfonso Pietro Giovanni Gerardo di Majella et Omni Sancti of Bourbon-Two Sicilies[1][2] (11 January 1897, Cannes, France[1][2] – 22 October 1975, Itu, Brazil[1][2]) was a member of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and a Prince of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.[1][2]

Family

Gabriel was the twelfth child and youngest son of Prince Alfonso of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Count of Caserta and his wife Princess Maria Antonietta of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.[1][2] He was a younger brother of Prince Ferdinand Pius, Duke of Calabria, Prince Carlos of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Maria Immaculata, Princess Johann Georg of Saxony, Maria Cristina, Archduchess Peter Ferdinand of Austria, Maria di Grazia, Princess Imperial of Brazil, Prince Ranieri, Duke of Castro, and Prince Philip of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.[1][2]

Marriage and issue

Gabriel married firstly to Princess Malgorzata Izabella Czartoryska, daughter of Prince Adam Ludwik Czartoryski and his wife Countess Maria Ludwika Krasińska, on 25 August 1927 in Paris.[1][2] The couple had one child before Malgorzata died in Cannes on 8 March 1929:[1][2]

Gabriel married secondly to Princess Cecylia Lubomirska, daughter of Prince Kasimierz Lubomirski and his wife Countess Maria Theresia of Granow-Wodicka, on 15 September 1932 in Kraków.[1][2] Gabriel and Cecylia had four children:[1][2]

Titles and styles

In addition to the historical princely rank which derives from membership in the historical House of Bourbon-Sicily, the title of Principe de Borbon and the style of Royal Highness were specifically accorded to Gabriel de Borbón, and to all children born of his dynastic marriage, by a Spanish royal decree issued 19 August 1920.[3]
